Remember the couple who bullied the elderly man at the Toa Payoh hawker centre? Both of them are charged in court today.

Chow Chuin Yee, 45, who shoved the elderly man from behind, is accused of using criminal force to barge against 76-year-old Ng Ai Hua, alias Ivor Ng. He is also alleged to have behaved in a disorderly manner by pushing cutlery off the table onto the floor.

His wife, Tay Puay Leng, 38, who shouted at the elderly man, was charged for hurling abusive words towards him with the intent to cause alarm.

The incident took place at Toa Payoh hawker centre along Lorong 8 on April 21. The police arrested them on April 25 and the couple will be back in court on July 12.

In the meantime, their lawyer S. Balamurugan asked for time to make representations.
