Why did mainstream media remove ALL news about maid suicide?

Share

You must have read the news of how the Myanmar maid leapt to her death a day ago at The Interlace. Every media outlet has covered it, both online and offline.

The curious thing is, if you search any mainstream media site now – the news is missing.

Mainstream

AsiaOne published a report, but this too was subsequently deleted!

AsiaOne
Stomp – the page is removed.

Stomp
Channelnewsasia, Straits Times, the Chinese tabloids, New Paper… nothing.

Even a search on Google will give you nothing except the alternative medias.

But do a search on ordinary maid suicides and Straits Times starts returning. Strange isn’t it?

WHY?!

We’d really want to know why – who was the employer of this maid? Are they a high profile family? Will the maid’s suicide affect the mental health of another employee or employer? Perhaps the employer is someone from the media companies? WHY?!?!

This is very odd and very disturbing – if you have any ideas, do share it with us!
