A 66 year old lady was beaten and robbed of her jewellery by two men during a morning walk in Simpang Amat in Penang on Monday.
She was with her two friends aged 70 and 78 when two men alighted from the car and chased after her at around 6.30am.
Her friends tried to escape but they fell and sustained minor injuries.
The CCTV footage showed the lady being beaten by one of the robbers while the other pinned her down.
The robbers later quickly got into the car and fled from the scene.
As it was quite dark, the police in Penang are not able to identify attackers and make out the car plate number. They are currently investigating the case.
The lady who was attacked by the robbers was sent to Sungai Bakap Hospital for outpatient treatment.
