SMRT CEO Desmond Kuek penned a very sad and emotional farewell email to his staff

The moment that everyone has been waiting for is here – Desmond Kuek has officially announced his resignation.

Former Chief of Defence Force, Neo Kian Hong will be taking over his CEO position from August 1.

While some commuters can’t wait for Desmond Kuek to go, some people are sad to see him go. It has been said that Kuek is actually well-loved by the SMRT family.

Here’s his emotional farewell email to all SMRT workers:

“It has been my privilege to have served alongside you, and to have had the honour of leading the company through this critical period of transformation and system renewal.”, Mr Kuek said.

“I give full credit to each and every one of you.” “You have inspired me with your dedication, professionalism and teamwork – in breaking new frontiers and rising to overcome every challenge that came our way.”, He added.
