A 35-year-old Chinese woman died at a unregulated clinic in Sydney, Australia after receiving chest enhancement surgery from another 33-year-old Chinese female who is a tourist and is not licensed.
According to news.com.au, Jean Huang, 35, died on Friday after she was allegedly administered a local anaesthetic and breast fillers by Jie Shao, 33, on Wednesday at a Chippendale salon.
Both women were introduced to each other by friends.
Jie Shao allegedly administered Jean Huang with a local anaesthetic and breast fillers on Aug 30.
After procedure went wrong, Jie Shao and two other staff members tried to administer CPR until paramedics were able to revive her. However, She died in hospital on September 1.
Jie Shao holds a masters degree from a UK university and specialised in dermatology but she was not qualified to practice in Australia.
She was charged with reckless grievous bodily harm and using poison to endanger life.
Jie Shao was remanded in custody to reappear in court next week.
