Four teenagers aged between 14 and 15 are currently assisting with an police investigation after a video of a fight at a chalet in Changi went viral.

The incident took place at around 9pm on Friday (17 November) at the Civil Service Club (CSC)@ Changi 2, reported Zaobao.

According to a video circulating online, a group of teenagers were seen gathering at the chalet when a girl in a white tank top started verbally abusing another girl in a black tank top. Bystanders can be heard cheering and encouraging the girl in white to start a fight while filming the incident.

In the video, someone also shouted, “I paid $25 to watch you beat someone up!”

Later, three other girls in white tank top joined in. They repeatedly pulled the black tank top girl’s hair, pushed her to the ground, and verbally abused her.

The black tank top girl did not fight back and eventually stood up to leave. However, the attackers and the crowd followed her, with many continuing to record the incident on their phones.

According to a witness interviewed by Shin Min News Daily, the conflict is believed to have started over a verbal argument. The girl who was assaulted suffered injuries to her eyes and nose, with blood flowing, and has been deeply affected emotionally.

When questioned, the police confirmed that they received a report of the incident, with a 15-year-old girl sustaining minor injuries but had decline medical assistance.

Mother of injured teenager in Changi chalet fight: Will get to the bottom of it

The mother of the victim expressed her determination to get to the bottom of the incident.

She revealed that her daughter had tried to contact her for help after the bullying.

“When I arrived at the scene, there were already police officers present, and an ambulance had been called for my daughter. However, she was too frightened and refused to go to the hospital,” she told the reporter who managed to get in touch with her.

Afterwards, due to her daughter’s discomfort, the mother took her to the A&E at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, where she was promptly admitted for treatment. She was only discharged yesterday (20 November).

The mother disclosed that the incident has been handed over to the police for investigation, adding that she will “pursue the matter to right to the end”.
