It’s common to have work disagreements with colleagues, however, there has to be a line drawn when hostility goes overboard.
Abusive words and gestures should not be tolerated no matter the reason. Needless to say, physical violence is a big taboo.
Unfortunately, in this case, a private bus driver kenna scolded vulgarities and was splashed with a drink during a confrontation with another bus driver.
But the aggressive bus driver claimed that he didn’t splash the drink on purpose. He added that it was an accident as his bottle cap was not screwed on properly. Sure boh….?
What triggered the angry bus driver
The 33-year-old private bus driver, Mr Wu Yuanxin, was picking up passengers outside Jurong East MRT Station last Thursday (26 January).
He stopped the bus at the pickup point a few minutes longer than usual as some passengers were late.
This triggered the other bus driver whose bus was behind Mr Wu.
The angry bus driver drove his bus alongside him and started scolding him and even showed him the middle finger.
The confrontation led to a heated argument
The next day, Mr Wu bumped into that angry driver and confronted him over his vulgar display.
As matters escalated further, the angry bus driver splashes its contents towards Mr Wu.
The drink splashed over his hair, jacket and steering wheel.
The driver then ran back to his bus and drive off. Mr Wu gave chase but couldn’t catch up.
All the wet surfaces were sticky, and it gave off a bad smell.
Waiting on an apology
Mr Wu was informed that he would receive an apology over a phone call but he didn’t receive the call.
His boss then advised him to make a police report. And so he did.
Haiya… no point getting angry over work, right? When you’re losing your temper, count to three before doing something you’ll regret.
