GST vouchers yayy! Free angpao from the Gahmen (Government)!
They will be giving out S$1 billion worth of goods and services (GST) benefits and Medisave top-ups.
Breakdown of the S$1 billion:
- Up to $300 GST vouchers (cash)
- 1.39 million Singaporeans will benefit

- It’s for those who earn an annual income of S$28,000 and less
- Up to $450 Medisave top-ups
- 485,000 Singaporeans aged 65 and above will benefit
- Up to $200 Medisave top-ups
- 520,000 Singaporeans born on or before Dec 31, 1959 and who are not entitled to Pioneer Generation benefits will benefit
- Up to $300 SG bonus
- Apply to all Singaporeans aged 21 and above
- Announced during Budget 2018
- $20 U-save yearly
- From 2019 to 2021
- 900,000 eligible HDB households will benefit
- Offset utilities bills
- 1.5 to 3.5 months of S&CC rebates
- Until Jan 2019
- 900,000 eligible HDB households will benefit
- Amount of rebates depend on HDB flat type
Not sure if you’re one of the lucky ones who qualify? If you are, you will receive a text message of letter by July 6 informing you that you are under the GST Voucher scheme.
This scheme was launched in 2012 to help lower and middle income Singaporeans to manage their GST expenses.
