Standby your umbrellas! More wet weather in first half of December

December is going to be wet and rainy says the Meteorological Service.

For the first two weeks, short, moderate to heavy showers with thunder will hit Singapore on five or six days in the afternoon and evening.

Widespread thundery showers with occasional windy conditions can also be expected on one or two days.

Singaporeans may also see a few days of cooler temperatures , windy conditions and heavy rain as a monsoon surge develops around the second week of the fortnight.

The daily maximum and minimum temperature might drop to 29 deg and 22 deg respectively.

The lowest recorded temperature in Singapore was 19 deg on 14 February 1989.
