About 930,000 Singaporean households living in Housing and Development Board (HDB) flats will receive the Utilities-Save (U-Save) rebate in Apr, The Ministry of Finance announced on 2 Apr.

As part of the permanent GST Voucher scheme, the quarterly rebate helps HDB households offset part of their utility bills and lowers their household expenses.

A total of S$300 million will be given out this year.

Eligible households will each receive a rebate of up to S$100 in Apr, based on their HDB flat type.

The ministry added that that the annual rebates are equivalent to three to four months of utility bills for those living in one- and two-room HDB flats. As for those living in three- and four-room HDB flats, the rebates support one to two months of their utility bills.
