This is why you shouldn’t trust everything you read or see on social media.
There was a video circulating on social media alleging that a male cyclist had molested a lady at Braddel Road underpass.
The video didn’t actually show the cyclist molesting someone. All you see is a few middle aged men trying to pin down a young man.
The caption, however, stated that “apparently, this guy rides bicycle and squeeze a lady’s buttocks”.
The cyclist was believed to be riding his bicycle slowly in front of a public bus when the Bus Captain honked at him to speed up.
However, the cyclist suddenly braked and caused the bus driver to apply the emergency brakes to avoid knocking into him.
The Bus Captain, together with a few passengers, alighted from the bus to confront the cyclist.
It was at this point in time when one of the passengers filmed the scene with his mobile phone.
The cyclist reportedly suffered from minor injuries and was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
The police was alerted to a case of voluntarily causing hurt. Investigations are ongoing.
