OMG…how can someone have 27 contact lenses in her eye?
A british lady was preparing for her cataract surgery last November when her surgeons found 17 lenses “bound together by mucus”, before another 10 lenses were found after further examination.
The lenses, which appeared like a “blueish mass”, were causing the lady discomfort which she thought was due to dry eye and old age.
“It was such a large mass. All the 17 contact lenses were stuck together. We were really surprised that the patient didn’t notice it because it would cause quite a lot of irritation while it was sitting there.” – Doctor Rupal Morjaria
