UPDATE: As at 3.19pm, CNA re-posted the article on their website.

National news broadcaster Channel NewsAsia posted an online article on their news website earlier this afternoon, but removed it in a short span on an hour. (Inside sources say that there was actually an embargo in the news…meaning they weren’t supposed to report on it yet, but they went ahead to post it.)

Apparently, the report was about the detention of the 1st radicalised Singaporean woman.

According to the report which is still available as a cached copy in Google search, the detained person is a 22 year old female preschool teacher who posted pro-ISIS materials online since 2014.

But that’s not all, she was also looking for a terror supporter in Syria to marry!

She believed that if her husband “died” while fighting for the ISIS, she would be elevated as a “martyr’s widow” which will then allow her to easily marry another ISIS fighter in Syria.

Syaikhah Izzah zahrah Al Ansari was a contract infant “educarer” with PCF SparkleTots.

She was detained today under the Internal Security Act.

According to the Home Affairs Ministry, Izzah had developed a wide network of online contacts with foreign individuals.

“She began to believe that ISIS represented the true spirit of Islam… She also said that she was prepared to undergo military training and engage in armed combat to defend ISIS if called upon by the terrorist group to do so.” – MHA

Both her parents – who are freelance religious teachers – and her sister knew of her radical postings in 2015 and her intention to join ISIS in Syria. MHA said that they tried on their own to dissuade her from going instead of alerting the authorities. It is currently unclear if the family will be charged.

MHA said that Izzah had boasted to a contact that the Singapore authorities had not detected her.

It also reiterated that family members and friends should inform authorities of anyone they suspect is being radicalised or planning terrorist attacks.
