The court was told that a charge of voluntarily causing hurt was pending, with investigations still continuing.

The investigations are understood to be linked to an incident that a Facebook user who goes by the name “Hui Ying” had posted about on May 19, 2017.

According to Hui Ying:

My dad did not provoke the rider, the rider was speeding towards my parent while they were crossing the road, and my dad was avoiding him and the plastic bag he was carrying that contained my dad’s raincoat accidentally brushed the man on his helmet.
