A four-year-old girl’s tragic death from abuse has shocked the public, and now, the male suspect’s identity has been revealed. Reports indicate that the man had previously founded two companies but was later arrested for drug-related offences. During his bail period, he committed further crimes and was accused of murdering the girl alongside a female suspect in an apartment.
Case Background
According to Shin Min Daily News, the victim’s mother, Foo Li Ping (29), and her boyfriend, Wong Shi Xiang (38), allegedly killed four-year-old Megan Khung Yu Wai in February 2021 at a unit at Suites @ Guillemard, a condominium in Paya Lebar.
In May, they, along with their female friend Nouvelle Chua Ruoshi (35), transported the girl’s body to an auto repair shop on the third floor of 53 Ubi Avenue 1, Paya Ubi Industrial Park, where they burned the remains in an attempt to destroy evidence.
On February 28, 2025, Foo pleaded guilty to three of the four charges against her, which included child abuse, allowing the death of a child under her care, and conspiracy to dispose of the body.
Wong also admitted to multiple offences on the same day, facing a total of 15 charges, including manslaughter, conspiracy to dispose of the body, drug trafficking, and drug use. The court will deliver his sentence on April 3.

Suspect’s Identity and Online Presence
Wong’s appearance was revealed publicly for the first time since his arrest five years ago. Circulating online photos show him appearing slim and dark-skinned, posing with another man. He is seen wearing a black T-shirt, a cap, and black-framed glasses, smiling at the camera.
According to Shin Min Daily News, a friend of the female suspect also posted the image on the social media platform Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book), identifying Wong in the picture. The post attracted significant attention from netizens.
Founder of 2 Companies and Had a Criminal History
A check on Handshakes, a business information provider, revealed that Wong had established two companies—a technology consulting services firm in 2012 and a valet parking service company in 2016. Both companies have since been deregistered.
A journalist contacted the secretary of the technology consulting firm on March 9, but the secretary stated that they had worked with over a hundred businesses and did not recognize Wong.
Court documents revealed that Wong was previously arrested by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) on November 22, 2018, for drug-related offences. Despite being out on bail, he continued committing crimes, subjecting the young girl to prolonged abuse from 2019 onwards. On February 21, 2020, he allegedly punched her abdomen with great force, causing fatal injuries.
After his arrest for the girl’s murder, drug tests confirmed that Wong had illegal substances in his system.
