A BMW driver who was recently seen on video berating a security officer in a condominium in Singapore is currently under investigation, reported Channel News Asia. According to reports, the man flew into a rage after his car was wheel clamped for allegedly parking improperly in the compound.

The incident, which took place on 3 April afternoon, was reported to have happened in a condominium located on Sin Ming Road.

The video circulating on social media shows the BMW driver shouting at the security officer because he was unhappy that his vehicle had been clamped for illegal parking. He then demanded that the security officer remove the wheel clamp.

The man could also be heard questioning the security officer about why he wheel-clamped his BMW. The security officer explained the man had parked improperly the day before.

In response to the security officer’s explanation, the BMW driver interrupted him and asked, “Do you know how many units I have here?”

When the security officer could not answer, the man added that he has “more than two units here”.

Subsequently, the BMW driver could also be heard berating the security officer, saying: “My son ends school at 1.30pm, do you know? He ends school at 1.30pm but it is because of people like you, I can’t go fetch him!”

He later said: “Since you all like to make things difficult for others so much, fall sick then fall sick lor! Since you all are already so poor, and like to die!”

Following the incident, the police said they received a call for assistance at about 1.10pm on 3 April and confirmed that investigations are ongoing.

Union condemns the abuse and actions of the BMW driver

On 9 April, the Union of Security Employees (USE) issued a statement on Facebook regarding the abuse. USE said that they are getting in touch with the security officer and will help him lodge a police report.

In another Facebook post on 11 April, the union representatives said that they had visited the security officer whom the man confronted, as well as her operations manager at the condominium.
