PSP just announced new key appointment holders for the year ahead in their latest Facebook post – hearsay Mr Leong Mun Wai will now be acting as the party’s Secretary-General!
The other key appointment holders are:
- Tan Cheng Bock as Chairman
- Hazel Poa as Vice-Chairman
- Nadarajah Loganathan as First Assistant Secretary-General
- Ang Yong Guan as Second Assistant Secretary-General
- Peggie Chua as Treasurer
- Lim Cher Hong as Assistant Treasurer
Addressing the appointment, Mr Leong thanked the party in his very own Facebook post, “I thank the CEC for placing its trust in me, and I look forward to bringing the Party to greater heights.”
Leong Mun Wai has been at the center of “attention” since he entered politics. Just recently, he was engaged in a back and forth debate lasting over an hour with Home Affairs and Law Minister K Shanmugam over Leong’s disagreements with the way the Gahmen handled high-profile cases.
Parliament Speaker Tan Chuan-Jin also buay tahan and asked him to answer questions directly. The heated ding-dong-ding-dong exchanges led to Leong withdrawing his own allegations and saying sorry to Parliament Speaker Tan Chuan-Jin cos he was defensive, and sibeh rude during the tense debate.
At one point, because Leong said he was “prepared” to withdraw his statement about the people involved in the Keppel case being guilty, Tan tried to clarify with him if he had indeed withdrawn it. Guess what this guy did? He sarcastically replied: “Speaker, if the minister didn’t ask me, I suggest you do not ask.”
Come, I clap for you bro!
Leong, a Non-Constituency Member of Parliament of the 14th Parliament of Singapore since 2020 had repeatedly been called out for having “unparliamentary” conduct over the past 2 years. Will Leong, the new secretary-general take PSP to greater heights? We wait and see la hor!
“Now that the baton has been passed to me, I strive to bring PSP to greater heights,” PSP Secretary General Leong Mun Wai
