S’poreans receiving money from Gahmen can now withdraw payout from ATMs with new GovCash service

About 40,000 Singaporeans who receive Gahmen payouts via cheques can now withdraw their money quickly and conveniently from an ATM with a new service called GovCash.

This new service, launched by the Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board in collaboration with OCBC Bank and the Gahmen Technology Agency, allows Singaporeans to withdraw payments from Gahmen in cash from 500 OCBC ATMs across Singapore.

Even if don’t have OCBC account, Singaporeans also can use the ATMs for the GovCash service to withdraw the money they receive from Gahmen.

If you have been receiving money from the Gahmen for the Workfare Income Supplement, Workfare Special Payment, and Training Commitment Award, then congrats to you, you no need to so mafan, go bank in your cheques to receive the money liao. Because you can jitao go and withdraw money from the bank through this GovCash service.

Besides withdrawing the payments in cash, tia gong Singaporeans can also choose to transfer the money to a bank account of their choice using PayNow via the LifeSG app and by logging in with their Singpass.

If you are feeling FOMO and wonder why you never get to receive such payouts from Gahmen, then it could be the following few reasons liao:

1. Congrats! You are not considered a low-income worker!

In case you don’t know, this Workfare Income Supplement Scheme is a broad-based measure that is introduced in 2007 that tops up the salaries of the lower-income workers and helps them save for retirement. While the Workfare Special Payment was introduced in 2020 to provide additional support for older, lower-wage workers.

2. Congrats to you also, it means that you are still young!

The Workfare Income Supplement Scheme is eligible for those 35 years old or above on 31 December of the work year.

But hor during the recent Budget 2022 speech, the Gahmen announced that the Workfare Income Supplement scheme will be enhanced and extended to younger workers who are aged 30 to 34.

This move is to help workers in this age group start saving for their housing and retirement earlier in their careers loh.

3. You never go for training to upskill yourself, tsk tsk

The Training Commitment Award is a cash incentive that serves to motivate and reward individuals for undergoing sustained training. So, if you want to receive this cash incentive, faster go check out what course you can attend here.

Don’t say bo jio ah, individuals who meet the qualifying criteria can enjoy a cash award of $100 to $500, up to a maximum of $1,000 per WSS eligibility year wor.
