Singapore pop diva Stefanie Sun’s husband, Nadim Van Der Ros, was recently recognised for his volunteer work. On 3 September, he received the High Commendation Award at the Singapore Red Cross Awards Ceremony. This award is given to volunteers who have shown commendable and consistent service to humanitarian causes.
And yes, Stefanie Sun herself was there at the event to support him.
Nadim later shared the news on social media with photos from the ceremony, including one with his wife. He wrote:
“I definitely don’t think I deserve it, but receiving the High Commendation Award at the Singapore Red Cross Awards 2025 gives me an opportunity to highlight the truly incredible work being done by the SRC community – staff, volunteers, and partners – who give so much of themselves in service of the humanitarian mission.”
He also made sure to thank his family, saying, “And of course, none of this would be possible without the support of my amazing wife and kids. Behind every volunteer is a family that makes it possible.”
According to his LinkedIn profile, Nadim has been volunteering with the Singapore Red Cross since 2019.
Over the years, he has supported both local and overseas initiatives, from helping with overseas missions and training through global engagement programmes, to serving as a volunteer trainer at the Singapore Red Cross Academy, where he focuses on first aid and humanitarian deployment preparedness.
