Singaporean Man Goes Missing While Jogging in Malaysia 3 Days After Wedding, Found Safe After 15 Hours

A 29-year-old Singaporean man went missing for over 15 hours after going for a morning run in Malaysia, just three days after getting married. He was found safe later that night, according to Zaobao.

According to China Press, the man, Caleb Ho Wen Hui, works as a finance manager in Singapore. He had just married his wife, the daughter of 60-year-old Dr. Lincoln Goh Lin Kin, on Saturday (July 5) in Sungai Long, a town in Kajang, Selangor.

After the wedding, the couple stayed at the bride’s family home in Sungai Long before planning to return to Singapore on Monday (July 7).

But on Monday morning around 5am, He went for his usual jog around the SL2/4 area of the neighbourhood. He sent his wife a video at 5.02am saying he would be back in 10 minutes. However, by 5.17am, all contact with him was lost.

His father-in-law, Dr. Lincoln Goh Lin Kin, 60, told Lianhe Zaobao that the family began searching around Sungai Long. They eventually found the red slippers He had been wearing near a road behind a petrol station close to a park, but he was nowhere to be seen.

Thankfully, at around 8pm the same day, He was located near Kuala Lumpur, roughly 30 minutes away by car from Sungai Long. He was found safe and unharmed.

Goh said the family is not ready to disclose the reason for the disappearance and added that “everything will be left to the police to investigate.”

The couple is expected to return to Singapore on Tuesday.
