The incident that took place at a coffee shop in Bedok North involving a 16-year-old boy and a girl has garnered attention after a witness captured the confrontation on video.
The footage subsequently shared on TikTok depicted a disturbing scene where the boy pushed and kicked the girl during an argument outside the coffee shop.
In the video, the boy, wearing a motorcycle helmet, engaged in a heated discussion with the girl while another couple stood by as silent spectators. The altercation escalated when the boy forcefully pushed the girl to the ground, causing her to fall backwards.
He then proceeded to kick her while she was on the ground, displaying a blatant act of aggression. Despite the girl trying to sit up, the boy pulled her back down by her hair, intensifying the violent encounter.
The situation further deteriorated when the boy grabbed the girl’s phone and smashed it on the ground. At that point, the gravity of the situation attracted the attention of law enforcement, as at least four police officers arrived at the scene to intervene and assess the situation.
An unidentified individual was observed engaging with the girl and another boy, while the boy in the motorcycle helmet remained at a distance. Subsequently, the same unidentified bystander was featured in a fourth clip, holding a phone as the boy in the helmet continued to push the girl. The video caption revealed that the individual had contacted the authorities.
Upon receiving a call for assistance, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) responded promptly to the scene at the coffee shop.
The young girl had sustained minor injuries but declined immediate medical attention, while the 16-year-old boy was arrested on charges of criminal intimidation. Moreover, he is currently under investigation for causing hurt and mischief, as the authorities work towards resolving the conflict and determining the appropriate legal actions.
