Ng Chee Meng joins Beyblade battle at Fernvale void deck — and wins

While walking around Fernvale, Jalan Kayu MP Ng Chee Meng spotted a group of residents having a Beyblade battle at the void deck.

Curious, he went over to check it out — and ended up joining in.

In a Facebook post on May 27, Ng shared a video of the encounter, where he can be seen watching the spinning tops in action before taking part himself.

After launching his own Beyblade and coming out on top, he high-fived his opponent and joked: “Beginner’s luck.”

“The residents were kind and patient in teaching me, and soon we were battling away! Thanks for letting me be part of the fun!” he wrote.

Ng recently won Jalan Kayu SMC in GE2025, and has been active on the ground, engaging residents in the lead-up to and after the election.

I was doing a casual community jalan-jalan and chanced upon S. and his friends. They were engaging in a “top” fight (now I know it is called Beyblade battle ) and having loads of fun. I couldn’t resist and approached S. and his friends for a lesson and a game. They were kind and patient in teaching me, and soon we were battling away!
