Samuel Lee, who ran as the People’s Power Party (PPP) candidate for Ang Mo Kio GRC in GE2025, has stepped down from the party.
In a TikTok post on May 27, Lee announced that he had resigned on May 23 to “pursue new opportunities” while continuing his activism and advocacy work.

“I am grateful for the lessons learnt and wish PPP well in its future,” he said.
The “Look Left, Look Right” guy
Lee gained attention during the GE2025 campaign for his rendition of the Mandarin song “I’m Just A Tiny Tiny Bird,” where he sang: “I look left, look right, look left, look right, for a career path. Is this a request considered too high?”
The clip went viral, earning him the nickname “Look Left, Look Right” guy.
He later appeared in a TikTok ad for an interior design company, singing about searching for a trustworthy designer.
What’s next for Samuel Lee?
While Lee hasn’t specified his next steps, he mentioned plans to continue his activism and advocacy efforts.
Lee’s resignation comes nearly a year after he served a six-week jail term for a road rage incident. Despite this, PPP leader Goh Meng Seng had supported his GE2025 candidacy, citing the party’s belief in rehabilitation and second chances.
