Deaths of Singaporean Couple in Kuala Lumpur Husband Allegedly Raped Teen Girl While Wife Watched

Last Friday (May 16), a Singaporean couple, Xie Jinde (43) and Zhuang Shuyi (33), were found dead by charcoal-burning suicide at a homestay in Taman Taynton View, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.

In the latest development of the double death case, another shocking detail has been revelaed. The Singaporean man, who was found dead with his wife in a Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia guesthouse on May 16, was allegedly a pimp, who was suspected of raping an underage girl.

According to Zaobao, the deceased couple were familiar with the 13-year-old victim, and when the male allegedly raped the girl, his wife was present and witnessed the entire act.

As the case continues to unfold, more disturbing truths are coming to light. Serdang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Muhamad Farid Ahmad confirmed in a phone interview with Shin Min Daily News on Monday (May 19) that the case involves a serious sexual assault incident.

Girl’s Parents Lodged Police Report

According to investigations, on April 30, Xie Jinde allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl at a rented apartment in Selangor, while Zhuang Shuyi was present during the act.

It is understood that the couple and the victim were acquainted. On the day of the incident, they claimed they wanted to take the girl out for a walk, but instead brought her to a rental unit in Selangor, where Xie assaulted her.

Assistant Commissioner Muhamad Farid said: “Later, the girl told her parents that the two deceased had done something bad to her. The parents immediately lodged a police report.”

Missed Court Appearance, Found Dead in Kuala Lumpur Guesthouse Two Days Later

He also confirmed that the two deceased had been arrested under Section 14(a) of Malaysia’s Sexual Offences against Children Act 2017, which covers sexual and indecent assault.

“After receiving the report, the police launched an investigation and arrested both Xie Jinde and Zhuang Shuyi. Both were under investigation in the case,” he added.

Xie Jinde was originally scheduled to appear in court on May 14 to be charged with allegedly sexually assaulting a minor, but he did not attend the hearing. Police were unable to contact him, and two days later, both Xie Jinde and his wife were found dead by charcoal-burning suicide at the guesthouse.
