A serious crash involving three vehicles occurred early on October 27 on Stamford Road heading towards Fort Canning Link, leading to one person being quickly taken to the hospital for treatment. According to the Strait Times, authorities were quickly informed about the incident and responded promptly to the disturbing situation at around 1.30 am.
In the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page, there is photo evidence that vividly depicts the aftermath of the crash. The overturned red Volkswagen was photographed nestled in bushes at the side of the road, while another striking image depicts the yellow vehicle, adorned with black decals, showcasing substantial damage to its hood. The crash seemed to have taken place close to the Fort Canning Tunnel, as shown by the damaged vehicles.
At around 2:10 am, a warning was given by Traffic News X from the Land Transport Authority regarding an incident in the Fort Canning Tunnel. The message on X implies that motorists should avoid the left lane near where the accident took place. This then led to the closure of the tunnel for clearance and safety reasons for motorists 36 minutes after the message was posted.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) has confirmed that a 21-year-old man, who was identified as one of the car drivers, was transported to Singapore General Hospital following the incident. The individual is said to be cooperating with ongoing investigations by the police.
In addition, three more people were evaluated at the scene for minor injuries from the incident, but they chose not to go to the hospital or receive further medical care.
