After staging a protest against Peter Lim, the Singaporean owner of the Spanish football club Valencia, a Spanish couple are currently being investigated by the Singapore Police Force.
The Singapore Police Force on Wednesday (Oct 9) confirmed that a report was lodged against a 34-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, both Spanish nationals.
According to CNA, the Spanish couple known as Dani Cuesta and his wife Mireia Saez, were on their honeymoon vacation when they attempted to leave Singapore for Bali. But they were stopped at the airport all of a sudden by security. Despite not being charged with any crime, their passports have been impounded as investigations continue.
The cause of this issue is because of the protest that they made while they were in Singapore.
Cuesta had posted photos of himself on social media from several locations in Singapore holding a black and yellow banner that read “Lim go Home”, including outside Abelia condominium at Ardmore Park, as well as Esplanade and Marina Bay.

The ownership of Valencia FC by Peter Lim has come under heavy criticism from Spanish fans over the past few years, with protests being held on several occasions. Valencia fans have questioned several decisions made by the club, including the selling of star players, the sacking of coaches and plans to build a new stadium.
In a statement, Valencia said the club and the LaLiga Office are in contact with the Spanish embassy in Singapore, “which has assured that both are being advised and assisted in everything that may be necessary with the aim of these events being resolved as soon as possible”.
It adds that it wishes for the “best and quickest outcome”.
