China woman accuses pilot husband of domestic abuse, says he slapped her until ear bled

A woman claimed that she and her children were abused by her pilot husband. She even said he once slapped her so hard her ear started bleeding, and the police had to get involved. The husband, however, denied everything and turned it around, saying his wife was the one who hit him.

Mrs Chen, a woman from China, told Shin Min Daily News that she married a Malaysian Chinese pilot in 2012. Since her husband often flies between Singapore and Malaysia for work, they decided to live in Malaysia.

“He has houses in both Singapore and Malaysia. Whenever he works, he stays in Singapore. I live in Malaysia with our two children,” she said.

The woman said she injured both her knees during a dispute with her husband.

She recalled that the two started an online romance in 2007, and he soon invited her to Malaysia to meet his family.

“At first, he told me that he was already divorced, so we began dating. I even flew from China to Singapore to meet him. But later, his relatives in Malaysia told me that he was not divorced yet. I was furious and returned to China.”

Mrs Chen shared that after going back to China, she discovered she was pregnant. She later decided to give birth to the child.

“In 2009, he divorced his ex-wife. In 2012, we got married because we wanted to give our son a complete family. Later, we had a daughter.”

But after marriage, things turned ugly. Mrs Chen said her husband started abusing her and even injured her so badly she had to be hospitalised.

“From around 2014, he started hitting me. Last August, in Malaysia, we argued about our daughter’s school bus fees. He tried to snatch my phone, which caused my finger bone to fracture, leaving me permanently injured. Both my knees were also hurt,” she said.

She added that she made a police report in Malaysia back then. And earlier this month, the couple had another physical fight, this time in Singapore.

“This time we quarrelled over a $5 cross-border bus fare. In a moment of anger, I hit him once. But he retaliated by slapping me hard on my left ear, which later started bleeding.”

She said she immediately called the police, and they sent her to the hospital.

When reporters managed to contact the pilot, he denied ever hitting her. Instead, he claimed that she was the one who beat him and even smashed his car’s headlight.

The police confirmed that a report had been lodged and said they are currently looking into the matter.
