Mainland Chinese influencer “Your Xiao Hao” (real name Liu Nan), who had 930,000 followers, shared heartbreaking news on August 11 that his wife of 13 years, known online as “Xiao Hao’s Little Fangirl,” passed away from glioma at the age of 32.
In an emotional video, Liu wrote, “On August 11, 2025, my wife fell into an eight-hour coma before leaving us… Goodbye, my wife. I promise I will raise our son well and never let you down.”
Liu shared that during the eight-hour coma, his wife showed no signs of pain. The only time her eyes moved was when he asked her to look at him one last time.
The couple had been together since they were 18 and have one son. In October last year, his wife was diagnosed with glioma. What began as a headache quickly worsened to the point where she could no longer walk.
Sold business to save his influencer wife
Doctors told Liu that surgery would not be very meaningful, but he refused to give up. He sold the billiards hall he had run for years to pay for medical treatment and personally took her to Beijing for further care.
Last October, Liu shared her medical records, revealing that his wife was just 30 years old at the time and had recently lost her father. Before she could recover from that grief, she was struck with the devastating cancer diagnosis. “I don’t know why life is so unfair, making you endure so much,” he said.
His wife suffered frequent seizures, spent long periods in the hospital, and experienced severe side effects from targeted therapy.
Liu admitted that he once considered ending treatment because he could not bear to see her in pain every day. At one point, she even pleaded with him to “end it quickly,” but he ultimately decided to “try one last time and leave no regrets.”
In the end, she passed away with her husband by her side.
