Punggol West residents now have access to complimentary Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) services, available weekly at the Punggol Cresails Residents’ Network (RN) Centre.
This new initiative aims to provide accessible healthcare options to the community, offering services such as internal medicine and acupuncture. The Public Free Clinic Society is the organization responsible for providing these specialized TCM services.
The services are available every Wednesday morning, specifically from 9 AM to 12 PM. For residents who are interested in utilizing these complimentary treatments, appointments can be conveniently booked. To secure a slot, individuals are advised to call the Punggol West Community Centre (CC) at 6444 1128.
The launch of this community health initiative was announced by Ms. Sun Xueling on July 2, 2025. Ms. Sun serves as the Senior Minister of State for National Development and Transport, and she is also the Member of Parliament for Punggol GRC, playing a key role in local community developments.
In her announcement, Ms. Sun indicated that this expansion of health services is just the beginning.
Efforts are actively underway to extend these complimentary TCM services even further across the Punggol West community. This expansion will involve working collaboratively with other Residents’ Network Centres in the area, ensuring that more residents can benefit from these accessible healthcare options closer to their homes.
This particular initiative forms a part of a larger, ongoing effort led by Ms. Sun, which is titled “Small Steps Each Day, for Better Ways.” This overarching initiative encompasses a range of developments designed to steadily improve the liveability of Punggol for its residents. The goal is to make Punggol a more comfortable and well-equipped place to live, through consistent and thoughtful advancements.
Beyond the introduction of free TCM services, other notable developments under Ms. Sun’s broader initiative include the recent opening of the Punggol Coast Bus Interchange. This new interchange aims to improve public transport connectivity for residents in the area.
Additionally, there are ongoing plans for the deployment of autonomous vehicles within Punggol, further signaling a push towards modern and efficient urban living.
These various projects collectively contribute to the comprehensive enhancement of Punggol’s amenities and infrastructure, all aimed at fostering a better living environment for its growing population.
