Singaporeans Can Start Claiming SG60 Vouchers from July, Up to S$800 Available

Staggered Rollout for SG60 Vouchers: Seniors First, Followed by Younger Citizens

Great news for Singaporeans! The SG60 vouchers, first introduced during Budget 2025, are now ready for claiming starting this July. This initiative forms a key part of the broader SG60 support package.

The process of distributing these vouchers began on Tuesday, July 1. Individuals who are turning 60 or are already older than 60 this year are the first group eligible to claim their S$800 worth of vouchers. For younger citizens, those between 21 and 59 years old, the claiming period for their S$600 worth of vouchers starts a bit later, on July 22, at 10 AM.

The reason for these staggered start dates is to ensure that older Singaporeans are prioritised for claiming their vouchers. This approach also serves as a recognition of their contributions to the country. Furthermore, during the first three weeks of July, additional assistance will be dedicated to helping elderly Singaporeans, whether they require help with digital claims or printing their vouchers.

Once these vouchers are obtained, it is useful to know their wide applicability. They remain valid until the end of next year, specifically December 31, 2026, and can be utilised at any business that currently accepts CDC vouchers. The voucher value is divided: half of the amount is designated for spending at local shops and hawker stalls within neighbourhoods. The other half can be used at various participating supermarkets. For those seeking a comprehensive list of all eligible merchants, this information is readily available online at go.gov.sg/sg60voucher.

Claiming the vouchers is designed to be straightforward. Citizens simply need to visit go.gov.sg/sg60v and log in using a SingPass account.

After a successful login, a unique link to access the vouchers will be sent via SMS. This message will originate from “gov.sg,” making it easy to identify. In addition to the digital method, every citizen will also receive a specially designed postcard sent directly to their homes via mail. For those 60 and above, these postcards will start arriving on July 1.

Younger citizens, aged 21 to 59, can expect their postcards from July 22 onwards. These postcards feature unique artwork created by artists with diverse abilities and include a message from Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, alongside a QR code that can be scanned for digital voucher claims.

“We really want to encourage our fellow Singaporeans of all ages to claim the SG60 voucher digitally from the comfort of their home by scanning the reverse side of this very beautiful SG60 postcard,” said Ms Low.

For seniors or individuals who may be less comfortable with digital processes, assistance is readily available. Support can be found at local community centres or any SG Digital Community Hub. A crucial piece of advice is to remain vigilant against scams.

Authorities have advised citizens to “be vigilant against scams related to the SG60 vouchers, as no banking information or financial transactions are required to claim them.” Therefore, it is important to exercise caution and remember that no requests for bank details or money will be made in order to receive these vouchers.
