A resident spotted strange stains along the corridor, only to uncover through his doorstep CCTV footage that a food delivery rider may have staged a fake accident, just to claim that the food was spilt and get a free meal.
The incident took place at an HDB block in Sengkang. Mr Han, a 30-year-old engineer, was taking out the trash when he noticed an odd mess along the corridor. Curious, he reviewed footage from his home CCTV and discovered the suspicious act.

In the video, a man in a blue shirt arrives on a bicycle, takes a packet of food from a square delivery bag and places it on the floor. He then slowly tips over the bicycle and begins snapping photos.
The food delivery rider is also seen throwing a packet of curry on the ground. The first attempt didn’t break it, so he tossed it again with more force, eventually causing it to burst and curry to splatter all over the floor. Despite several passers-by walking past, the man continued with his actions.

After taking the “evidence photos”, the man puts the food back into the delivery bag and appears to report the “accident” on his phone, presumably to the delivery platform. He then walks away with his bicycle, without cleaning up the mess he made.
Mr Han suspects the rider just wanted to eat the food and staged the whole scene to deceive the platform. As a former delivery rider himself, he expressed his disdain.
“I found it really ridiculous, going through all that effort just to scam a meal. He’s embarrassing the whole delivery profession.”

The CCTV also captured the man completing a delivery upstairs before carrying out the staged scene on his way down.
The video has since gone viral online, with many netizens criticising the rider and condemning such dishonest behaviour.
