A Bartley Secondary School student was apprehended following a disturbing incident where a teacher was injured with a penknife on Monday (April 28). School Principal Britta Seet revealed that the wounded teacher was promptly taken to the hospital for necessary medical attention. Recuperating at home now, the teacher is on medical leave, confirmed the principal. Seet asserted that a police report had been filed, shedding light on the serious nature of the incident.
In a firm statement, Principal Seet disclosed, “The student is assisting with the investigation and has not returned to school.” The authorities have confirmed the lodging of a police report and the subsequent arrest of the student involved in the incident. The gravity of the situation prompted the involvement of the Singapore Civil Defence Force, which responded to a distress call around 12:25 pm and transported an individual to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for treatment.
