PAP Introduces Social Entrepreneur Cai Yinzhou and New Faces for GE2025

Exciting Line-up of Fresh Faces Revealed by PAP as Election Nears

Social entrepreneur Cai Yinzhou has emerged as one of the fresh faces on the People’s Action Party’s (PAP) roster for GE2025, as revealed in a video shared by Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.

The influx of new figures like Mr. Cai signals a shift within the party and a strategic move to introduce a diverse range of talents to the political landscape.

In response to PM Wong’s call for younger generations to step up and serve the nation, Cai Yinzhou took to social media, sharing his enthusiasm by donning the PAP badge and affirming his dedication, stating, “Here I am, Singapore.” His visible commitment to the cause was underscored further by his active involvement in PAP activities since 2018.

Reflecting on his roots, Cai Yinzhou’s longstanding presence in Geylang showcases his connection to the community through initiatives like Geylang Adventures, offering guided tours around the vibrant neighbourhood.

Apart from Cai Yinzhou, the video also introduced other noteworthy individuals, including former army chief David Neo and Assistant Professor Charlene Chen, who are poised to be part of the Tampines GRC team.

Dr. Syed Harun Alhabsyi, a prominent consultant psychiatrist, hinted at the possibility of his candidacy, along with familiar faces like Mr. Jackson Lam and Ms. Lee Hui Ying from Nee Soon GRC.

The diverse backgrounds of the new entrants, such as Mr. Gabriel Lam, the COO of Shalom International Movers, and shipping lawyer Gho Sze Kee, underscore the party’s commitment to inclusivity and expertise from various sectors.

The video also marked the presence of stalwarts like Victor Lye and Lee Hong Chuang, reflecting a blend of experience and fresh perspectives within the PAP’s lineup.

Additionally, the absence of lawyer Kawal Pal Singh, who opted out of contesting the upcoming election to prioritize work-life balance, provides a poignant contrast to the enthusiasm displayed by the new faces stepping into the political arena.
