A Thai woman with head injuries was found dead, her naked body wrapped in blankets at a luxury apartment in Bangkok. Her Singaporean boyfriend is suspected of murdering her, and investigations reveal that he has fled to Myanmar.
Thai police are making all efforts to catch him, reported Zaobao.
According to various Thai media reports, a 30-year-old Thai woman was murdered in a luxury apartment located in Sukhumvit, Bangkok.
Thong Lor Police Station in Bangkok received a report at around 6:30 PM local time on Wednesday (March 26). When officers arrived, they discovered that the door of the unit on the 22nd floor was unlocked.
Investigations show that the unit was rented by the deceased and her 32-year-old Singaporean boyfriend, Daniel, two months ago.
The woman was found lying face-up and naked in the bathroom, wrapped in a white bedsheet and a blue blanket. Her head was covered with a white cloth, showing visible injuries and bloodstains.
Investigators found that some branded bags and luxury watches were missing from the apartment.
Reports indicate that local police reviewed security footage from the apartment and saw the victim and her boyfriend leaving the apartment together at around 6 PM on Sunday (March 23). The couple returned to the apartment around 9 PM, and the boyfriend left after dropping the victim off at the elevator.
On the following day (March 24) at 12:12 AM, the boyfriend returned to the unit and stayed there for a day and a half. On Tuesday (March 25) at around 3 PM, he was seen leaving the building with a suitcase.
Security footage showed the boyfriend getting into a black Mercedes-Benz. Police later discovered that the car’s owner had already passed away.
Thai police have identified the suspect as Singaporean man Daniel Benjamin Goh Wei-En, who was the victim’s boyfriend. The couple reportedly had a strained relationship with frequent arguments and even physical altercations.
According to Thaich8.com, Daniel is suspected of fleeing to Mae Sai District in Chiang Rai Province, where someone helped him cross the Mae Sai River on foot to enter Tachileik, Myanmar. Thai police have identified the person who assisted him and have taken them in for questioning. They are expected to bring this person to identify the suspect’s crossing point on Thursday (March 27).
Reports mention that the water level of the Mae Sai River along the Thai-Myanmar border is currently low, allowing people to cross on foot at multiple points. After initial investigations, Mae Sai police have requested assistance from the Tachileik police in Myanmar to pursue the suspect.
Singaporean Boyfriend Is a Director of a Local Company
The Singaporean boyfriend is a director and shareholder of two local companies. The victim’s social media shows that the boyfriend had just celebrated her birthday with her last Sunday.

According to local ACRA records, the Singaporean boyfriend, Daniel, is a director of a management consulting firm and a shareholder of another real estate fund management company.
When reporters visited Daniel’s bungalow in Yishun, no one responded. The house’s doors and windows were tightly shut, with noticeable dust and leaves on the yard and table, indicating that it had been vacant for some time.
Neighbours interviewed stated that the previous occupants moved out last year, and they had no impression of Daniel. According to the Thai media, the passport details of the Singaporean boyfriend show that Daniel was born in the United States, with the passport issued in April 2019.
