A 76-year-old former junior college teacher harassed four underage girls at a food court, referring to them as his “sex toys” and claiming they were his “wives” from Monday to Thursday.
He also molested one of the girls, leaving the others in tears and trembling with fear.
The incident occurred on September 20, 2023, at around 3 PM at the food court in NEX shopping mall, reported Zaobao.
The Lao Tiko, Lin Shi Pei (transliteration), faces 13 charges, including molestation, attempted outrage of modesty, and offences under the Protection from Harassment Act.
The four victims, aged 12 to 13, were secondary school students who had gone to the food court for lunch after school at around 2:20 PM on the day of the incident.
Shortly after, the Lao Tiko approached them, introduced himself as a retired teacher, and found an excuse to sit between two of the girls. During this interaction, he molested a 13-year-old girl by touching her back.
He then told the girls that he was too old to teach in schools and asked if they were interested in hiring a private math tutor.
As the conversation progressed, the Lao Tiko’s remarks became increasingly inappropriate.
He claimed he enjoyed teaching female students because he could hug them. He went on to tell the girls, “If you were my wives, my life would be amazing,” and “You are my sex toys.” 🤮🤮🤮
He even pointed at each girl, assigning them as his “wives” for Monday through Thursday, adding that he would “rest on Fridays and go to Malaysia on weekends.”
Feeling extremely uncomfortable, one of the girls mentioned that her father was waiting for her downstairs, prompting the group to use the opportunity to leave.
As they stood up to go, the accused molested the same 13-year-old girl again by touching her left arm.
The incident left the girls traumatized—some were in tears, while others trembled in fear. One of them reported the incident to the police the following day.
On Tuesday (March 11), the Lao Tiko pleaded guilty. His sentencing is scheduled for next Tuesday (March 18).
