A recent incident at Nex mall has sparked controversy as a man alleges that a store manager physically assaulted him while he attempted to document touting activities by staff members of The Mineral Boutique. The scene, was unfolded by Amos, the person behind the recording, amidst prior accusations against the shop for pressuring his elderly mother into purchasing a costly skincare product.
According to Amos, during his attempt to video record the promotional activities outside The Mineral Boutique, the store manager aggressively interfered, leading to a confrontation where the manager purportedly grabbed his neck and headbutted him, resulting in the Stomper’s mobile phone being knocked down. Subsequently, a police report was lodged in response to the altercation.
The spokesperson of the Mineral Boutique proved the false allegations, asserting that he had engaged in a defamation campaign against the store and exhibited aggressive behaviour towards its staff. The spokesperson denied any physical violence by the store’s employees and mentioned the existence of CCTV footage portraying him as the aggressor during the incident.
In defence of his actions, Amos claimed that he was within his rights to capture the touting scenario in a public space and rebutted accusations of displaying aggressive conduct. He further described being coerced into deleting the recorded footage in exchange for a refund inside the shop.
There was a previous incident surrounding The Mineral Boutique, as mentioned by Amos previously, including reports of targeting elderly customers with high-priced products, which further suspects their need for scrutiny of the shop’s practices.
