According to Mothership, the video displayed approximately five men who helped out two police officers in subduing the man on the ground at Bukit Merah. Their prompt reaction resulted in the immobilization of the person by securing his abdomen and legs, with further help from a second man who jumped over a metal fence to assist in holding the suspect down with his knees.

The person who filmed the incident behind the camera also quoted the event, saying, “A group of quick-thinking residents and workers have helped to subdue a violent man. ”

The person filming the video recognized the quick response of the residents and workers in handling the situation, thanking them for their efforts that eventually resulted in the man being handcuffed. The man who was detained could be heard shouting as the onlookers scattered when the police came to take control of the situation.

Soon after, the man was gently transported in an ambulance on a stretcher, with authorities confirming that he stayed awake during the entire procedure. Continuing inquiries will provide more information about the alleged fraudulent activities and drug-related issues that led to the initial reaction from both the concerned passersby and law enforcement.
