Passengers on a flight from Vancouver to Singapore on Air Canada recently had a frightening experience when the plane encountered intense turbulence. According to MS News, the occurrence happen on October 11th, and it left passengers startled when they encountered unforeseen turbulence during their flight back to Singapore.
On Reddit, a traveler recounted the experience of being on a plane that was severely jolted by turbulence, leading to a chaotic situation in the cabin. The chaos continued for approximately four to seven minutes, including a sudden altitude drop that caused passengers and items to be thrown, surprising everyone.
Another Reddit user who is also a passenger said that the seatbelt sign was activated because of past turbulence during the flight. She likened the sensation inside the aircraft to a theme park ride that takes you up high and then quickly drops you, causing a sudden feeling of weightlessness.
Also, another traveler on the plane compared the sensation to a roller coaster ride with periods of zero gravity. The cabin was packed with airborne food items, causing passengers to tidy up after turbulence, with coffee dripping from the ceiling and rice stuck in their hair.
Despite the disorderly situation, the flight proceeded to Singapore without any additional incidents. An Air Canada representative verified experiencing turbulence but reassured that the plane was thoroughly inspected after the event and successfully landed at Changi Airport, although it was slightly delayed.
