Drink Stall Assistant Died After Fight with Driver at Jolo KTV

According to MS News, there’s this crazy incident where a private-hire driver, Eng Chee Hong, got charged with the death of a Vietnamese drink stall assistant, Mr Dao Van Chien, after an altercation at Jolo KTV. It all went down at a drink stall on New Year’s Eve, which makes this news very sad as Mr Dao do not get to see the new year from this incident.

Some time around at night on that day, Eng and his buddies ran into Mr. Dao, who was known for being a super friendly guy at Jolo KTV. Suddenly, things got out of hand when Eng thought Mr. Dao was getting too drunk and tried to intervene. However, it ended up with Eng hitting Mr. Dao, who then fell and hit his head on the floor. Instead of helping, Eng took off to meet some friends, leaving Mr. Dao on the ground.

Mr. Dao was found and taken to the hospital, but sadly, he didn’t make it after all the blood coming out from his head. It’s just really awful how one moment can change everything.

Eng has a history of trouble with the law, and now he’s looking at serious consequences for what happened. His lawyers are bringing up his struggles, but it’s just a tough situation all around.
