A man, named Su Hai Jin, who was involved in the money laundering case tried to hide from the police by hiding in the longkang.

According to Zaobao, he jumped from the balcony, then hide in the longkang, but in the end, the police caught him and surrounded him like dunno what. Walao, tia gong he even wore the head mask some more, so dramatic one sia.

His neighbour who preferred not to be named said that Su Hai Jin was the tenant of the house, and he only come out once in a while. He will always enter and leave his house through the underground car park. He even got many trees in the house, like some secret agent liddat.

Thought his enemy was coming after him

Then this Su Hai Jin say is not that because he didn’t want to get caught by the police, but is just because he thought some enemy come find him only. So, he went to investigate and accidentally fall down from the balcony. After that, he hear like got some shooting sound, then he scared like siao, run and hide in the drain lah.

According to the prosecution, many people were involved in this money laundering case, and they all seem connected.

Investigation is still in the early stage, so they want the judge to keep 10 people in custody for further investigation and statement recording.

The prosecution also revealed that Su Hai Jin, one of the accused, when the police came, he jumped from a second-floor balcony and broke his bones. The police found him hiding in the drain. He was later taken to the hospital for treatment.

Reportedly, the police have yet to take his statement. But once he gets discharged from the hospital, he will be brought back to the police station.

It was also revealed that Su Hai Jin did not hire a lawyer to represent him. He was interviewed via video conference and spent some time explaining that he was not resisting arrest.

He explained that last year in July, he went to a bar in Dubai where he got to know this girl who was working there. After that, they got into an intimate relationship. When he came back to Singapore, he received a call from a guy one night, claiming to be the boyfriend of the girl and want him to pay $10,000 for compensation. The guy even threatened him that he will send people to his house if he don’t pay up.

According to Su Hai Jin, the night before the police came, he was out celebrating his wife’s birthday, and he had half bottle of wine. He only went back home at around 3 to 4 am.

He said that he heard someone knocking on the door, which got him confused. He did not know that it was the police. He thought it was his enemy from Dubai. So, he went to the balcony to check. Then he accidentally fell down from the 4.5-meter-high balcony.

After falling down, he heard a “bang” sound coming from the room, and he thought someone was shooting inside, and hence he quickly ran and hid in the nearby drain.

He explained that he did not try to run away when the police find him and was in full cooperation. He also say that there was a sofa belong his balcony and that if he had really wanted to escape, he could have just jumped onto the sofa, and not get injured like that.
