Less than a week after Tharman Shanmugaratnam expressed his interest in running in the upcoming Presidential Election, a new player has entered the game.
On 12 June, George Goh, the founder of Harvey Norman Ossia, announced his intention to run for the Singapore presidency.
This makes him the second person to step forward after Tharman, which means he will be challenging Tharman for the presidency.

1. He is the founder of Harvey Norman Ossia
He’s the one who brought the Australian electronics store Harvey Norman to Singapore. He is also the group executive chairman of Ossia International, a Singapore Exchange-listed company that deals in consumer products such as footwear and apparel.
