The 63-year-old cleaner who was sent to the hospital in a coma state after getting into an altercation with his co-worker has passed away, reported Zaobao.
Reportedly, the fight between the two men broke out after one of them, a 39-year-old man, refused to help his co-worker, a 63-year-old uncle, take the garbage out.
The incident reportedly occurred on 26 January at 9.39 am, at a coffee shop on Blk 338 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1.
The two cleaners got into a dispute and began pushing and shoving each other. During the quarrel, the 63-year-old uncle collapsed onto the ground suddenly and was later taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital while in a state of coma.
Zaobao reported that the 63-year-old uncle had health problems and had unfortunately passed away in the hospital on 28 January.
The police had also confirmed that they were alerted to the fight when it broke out. The 63-year-old man was taken to the hospital in an unconscious condition, while the 39-year-old man was arrested for causing an affray.
The case is still under investigation.
