Breaking: Singapore & Malaysia to launch vaccinated travel lane between Changi Airport and KLIA

Lai liao lai liao! Finally sia, a lot of Malaysians can look forward to going back to their homeland liao because Singapore and Malaysia will be launching a vaccinated travel lane (VTL) between Changi Airport and Kuala Lumpur International Airport from 29 November 2021 onwards.

This announcement was made through a joint statement by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his Malaysian counterpart Ismail Sabri Yaakob after both leaders spoke on the phone on Monday (Nov 8).

In a Facebook post, PM Lee said that because Singapore and Malaysia have made good progress in vaccinating the populations and managing the pandemic, so both countries have agreed that the time to slowly and progressively resume cross-border travel between both countries has come liao.

The cross-border travel will not only help to revive our economies, but it will also help to restore people-to-people ties and strengthen bilateral partnership.

PM Lee also said that the discussion to reopen travel across the Causeway and the Second Link is also ongoing. So, we can also continue to look forward to launching a similar VTL scheme between Singapore and Johor in the near future!

Good news for the Malaysians working in Singapore! They can finally fly back home to Malaysia to see their families and loved ones liao! GDLL~
