Don’t say bo jio ah! Temasek Foundation is providing one free oximeter for every Singapore household to enable everyone to monitor their blood oxygen levels regularly.
YAH SIA, FREE ONE!
According to Temasek Foundation, this is part of their Stay Prepared initiative to “help everyone stay safe, especially with the emergence of new and more infectious COVID-19 variants”.
Why oximeter leh?
Because apparently ‘silent pneumonia’ is one of the most serious consequences of COVID-19, where seriously ill people can still feel generally well even though their lungs already spoil liao and they have dangerously low levels of oxygen.
So hor, if people use the oximeter to test their blood oxygen levels regularly, they can be alerted when their blood oxygen levels become dangerously low and can faster go and see doctor and seek medical attention.
When can collect? Go where collect?
Between 28 June and 3 July, Singapore Post will distribute a leaflet with a redemption tab to each household letterbox.
Once you receive this leaflet, you can bring this leaflet along with you to collect the oximeter at more than 300 FairPrice, Sheng Siong, Giant, Cold Storage, Watsons, Unity and Guardian outlets in Singapore.
But take note hor, the collection is between 5 July and 5 August 2021.
For more information on the collection points and operating hours, you can check them out here.
Relac ah, no need to kan jiong until you chiong out to collect ok. Temasek Foundation say they got “plenty of stock”!
