On 18 Jun, 34-year-old Johnboy John Teo was charged with the murder of his two-year-old daughter, Ashley Clare Teo, in his Sengkang flat on Father’s Day. He was given the charge in Sengkang General Hospital.
The murder took place between 7.40pm and 11.05pm in their home on 16 Jun.
Police were alerted to the case at 10.24pm, where officers found the girl lying motionlessly in a bedroom alongside with Teo.
Teo was then arrested and taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries while the girl was pronounced dead just before 12.30 am on 17 Jun.
Teo’s case has been adjourned until 9 Jul.
If convicted of murder, he will face the death penalty.
