A fire in southern Johor had caused a burning smell in parts of Singapore the National Environment Agency (NEA) said on 25 Feb.

The authorities were first alerted to the burning smell in the eastern part of Singapore on 24 Feb.

Singapore could experience a slight haze if the wind direction were to change, NEA added.

NEA also reassured the members of the public, including those with lung or heart diseases, that they could continue with their normal activities.

The air quality will be monitored closely, and NEA will provide updates on further findings or significant changes to the air quality if necessary.

Waaa piang eh, no wonder at night so hot cannot sleep la. Thanks ah neighbor!
