Aiming to benefit 25% of union members who are less affluent, NTUC partners with Gardens by the Bay to provide free admission tickets to the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome conservatories.

Each eligible union member is entitled to four admission tickets which can be redeemed at their own leisure. Eligible members will be notified via SMS, Electronic Direct Mailers (EDMs) and NTUC’s MyNTUC mobile app. Tickets have to be redeemed within six months from the date of notice.

“Gardens by the Bay has been a supportive partner of the Labour Movement. In July this year, they voluntarily raised the retirement age of their older workers to 65, beyond the mandatory age of 62. This time, we are heartened by Gardens’ generosity to provide our less affluent union members the valuable opportunity to visit Gardens by the Bay and have a wonderful time at the beautiful Gardens with their families.” Secretary-general of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), Ng Chee Meng said.

CEO of Gardens by the Bay Mr Felix Loh mentioned in a speech that he is glad and grateful for this partnership as it ties with the Gardens’s Gift of Gardens community outreach initiative – to provide complimentary access to the Gardens to local residents who may not have the opportunity to visit, such as the needy or individuals with disabilities.

Some 350 less affluent union members and their families turned up for festive celebration today.

The tickets for the two conservatories cost S$20 for adults, S$15 for senior citizens and S$15 for children between the ages of three and 12.
