Captain Teng started her legal suit against the Taxi driver for negligent in June 2017 and The High Court ordered in August last year that Mr Ng should bear full responsibility.

On top of claiming for damages such as medical, physiotherapy and transport expenses, Captain Teng is also claiming for loss of future income up till retirement and loss of future income after retirement, totaling $4,000,000

Captain Teng was an AH-64D Apache pilot before the accident. Injury from the accident causes her to face difficulties manipulating fine controls, gripping for prolonged periods, and wrist pain limiting her wrist and forearm movements. A specialist assessed that she has permanent wrist instability and could no longer be a pilot, this put an end to her high flying career.

Captain was redeployed as an air warfare officer in January 2017. The case will go on trial in October and November.
