Three woman arrested during an Police operations against massage establishments

The Police have arrested three women, aged between 27 and 35, for offences under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act and Women’s Charter during a three-day operation which ended on 30 March 2018.

Central Police Division conducted a series of enforcement operations against public entertainment outlets and unlicensed massage establishments located along Jalan Besar, Jalan Klapa, South Bridge Road, Serangoon Road, North Bridge Road and Aliwal Street.

Four unlicensed massage establishments and three public entertainment outlets were found to have contravened licensing conditions. Actions will be taken against the operators under the Public Entertainment Act and Massage Establishment Act.

Two women were arrested for working without a valid work permit at a public entertainment outlet and an unlicensed massage establishment. Another woman, believed to have offered sexual services at an unlicensed massage establishment, was also arrested.

Investigations are ongoing.

The Police takes a serious view of anyone found breaking the law and will continue to take tough enforcement stance against such activities.
