The Police have arrested a 27-year-old man for his molesting a woman along Hindhede Walk on 20 March 2018.
The police said in a statement on Thursday that the man was arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of aggravated outrage of modesty, which typically involves the use of criminal force.
On 20 March 2018, the victim reported that she was molested by an unknown man while she was walking along Hindhede Walk. Officers from Jurong Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and arrested him on 21 March 2018.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 23 March 2018 with the offence of Aggravated Outrage of Modesty. Anyone convicted for the offence of Aggravated Outrage of Modesty under Section 354A(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 is liable for a jail term of not less than 2 years, and not more than 10 years, and with caning.
